Travis Ratts • English, journalism
Mr. Ratts was born and raised in Asia. He spent the first seven years of his life in the Philippines. When Mount Pinatubo erupted in 1991, he and his family were evacuated to Tokyo where he graduated high school. Mr. Ratts graduated with a B.A. in English Lit. from Arizona State University. In college his concentration was in "Beat" poetry and literature. Both of his parents are veteran teachers of 35 years.
Mr. Ratts has a passion for traveling. He has traveled through 15 countries on three continents. His favorite country is Thailand. When he has free time on the weekends he enjoys working on my writing projects and taking his dog Sid on hiking trips in Flagstaff and Sedona. Mr. Ratts is an avid camper, spending most of his vacations exploring the wilderness of Arizona. Currently, he is teaching English 4 and 5 at South Ridge High School.
