South Ridge High School organizes several "Future Freshman Days" throughout the school year. This special day creates an opportunity for eighth graders to take a look at what high school is really like and what to expect. These "future freshman" are granted a field trip to South Ridge to spend the day paired with one of our students and attend high school classes with them. The day is structured to include informative lessons, group projects and insight for future freshman to make the best choices for their learning and to start looking into post-secondary education at a college or university.

Future Freshman Day is a free event that also includes a BBQ lunch, cheerleader performance, class competitions that include our future freshman guests and a meet and greet with the school principal. Please return permission slips to Jenny Rivera in the front office by the printed deadline to make sure your student is included. To help streamline the enrollment process for eight graders starting their Freshman Year with us, we have developed enrollment opportunities outside of the normal school day. Taking place in the evening and on a weekend, these days allow families and students to enroll into South Ridge without disrupting school and work schedules. Space is limited, so appointments will be scheduled on a first-come-first-served basis. When these dates are announced, they will be listed below.
